A new year means new hair trends and we’re looking forward to some of the fun accessories and hairstyles that will be in style! The best part: most of 2015’s runways styles are perfect for naturally curly hair. Here are just a few of the things we’re excited to try.
Metallic barrettes and clips were a constant theme on runways for Spring 2015, and make the perfect accent for another one of the season’s trends, the half up/half down style. Geometric designs were especially popular. Who doesn’t love an easy and on point hairdo.
Flower headbands, flower pins, flower clips… the fun summer music festival trend is back again this year. Add flowers to a simple braid or updo and you’ll have the perfect style for spring and summer.
Scarves and Turbans
Enough about spring and summer… What about now? Headscarves and turbans were a huge hit on runways this season, and they are the perfect way to protect your hair while staying stylish. Just remember to stay away from cotton and synthetic fabrics since they pull moisture from your hair. Try scarves that are silk or quality satin.
Buns, Knots, Twists, and Braids
Elaborate braids and updos are seeing a huge surge in this year’s hair scene as well as Bantu knots, buns, and twists. Women from natural hair to straight hair were rocking these styles on the runway. With these styles already handy in your hairstyle arsenal, now is the time to show off how trendy and practical your hair can be.
Wavy hair and loose curls rejoice! The Bohemian chic “Woodstock” curls are a popular trend that will surely last well past the summer festival season and into the fall. Need help giving those loose curls and waves a boost? Refresh with your Q-Redew to add extra volume and bounce.
