Detangling can be stressful! With the change of seasons, we often find our hair's moisture levels can fluctuate. As a result, the detangling process can seem unbearable. This season we came up with "4 Hacks" to help you detangle with ease.
- Pre-poo
Pre-pooing is prepping your hair prior to cleansing. This is typically done with a carrier oil such as coconut, olive or grapeseed oil. This process makes your hair more manageable and helps reduce breakage.
- Use Aloe Vera Gel
Aloe Vera is packed with nutrients for hair. It has the power to smooth the hair cuticles because it is acidic. This chemical reaction helps the tangles subside during the detangling process.
- Use a Wide Width Comb or Your Fingers
Use your fingers or wide tooth comb to detangle gently. Using your fingers is always the best option, but if you want to use a tool, the wide tooth comb gets the job done. Be sure to separate the hair into sections. Then, work your way up from the bottom of the hair shaft to the top.
- Use the Q-Redew
The Q-Redew can make the detangling process quick, easy and more enjoyable!
The secret to Q-Redew’s detangling success is that you are detangling while hair is soft, moist and warm, but not saturated. You can quickly melt away tangles without damaging your hair.
- Start with dry sectioned hair.
- Steam a section from root to end
- Use fingers or wide-tooth comb to detangle gently.
- Once the section has been thoroughly detailed, clip the section out of the way and move to the next section.
